About this Short Film
Splash (2019) from Ugandan filmmaker Okuyo Joel Atiku Prynce is a short film that explores perception, prejudice and the complexity of being a young adult with a physical disability. Its themes include dance, crutches, wheelchairs and the everyday ways stereotypes and stigma shape how people are seen. The film does not rely on pity or easy answers. Instead it invites audiences to reconsider viewpoint and inclusion through striking images and movement. Presented as part of the Focus on Ability International Short Film Festival, Splash sits within a programme that celebrates ability, challenges assumptions and highlights diverse experiences of disability.

This short story is very touchingit takes us deep into a person with disabilitys life and brings the true reality out...i now look at it in a different perspective.
