About this Short Film
It's Not My Fault (2020) from Dzaleka Filmmakers, Malawi, invites viewers to reconsider assumptions about physical disability and the quick judgments we make. Through scenes featuring a car, a mechanic and a group, the film highlights how perception, viewpoint, prejudice and stigma shape everyday encounters. This is a great short film that shows how people living with disabilities can actually be able to do work. They shouldn't be ignored because of their disability situations. I really like how actors played their roles. Although all players come from a refugee camp they have done their best to make this short film a reality that is seen in many communities around the world.
