About this Short Film
We Can (Yonatan Endrias, Ethiopia, 2022) explores perception and viewpoint around physical disability. Using images of crutches and group performance, it invites viewers to rethink assumptions about ability and presence. The film pays close attention to gesture, movement and the social space around young adults, while leaving room for each audience member to form their own interpretation. Yes we can What a FILM It is really a mentality that clearly shows failing seven times down but have hope in rising eight times up. Heroes never give up in all their failures whereas they take failures as learning opportunities. Yes they stretch forward to move further and further. Further to their destiny to achieve their goal.YES WE CAN With a fire in a belly to face all the challenges that limits and prohibits our move to our destiny.
