About this Short Film
Before The Day, directed by Tefera Tsega (Ethiopia, 2023), is a short film presented in the Focus on Ability International Short Film Festival. It looks at motivation, personal goals and the daily realities of a young adult living with a physical disability. Through intimate moments of training and mobility the film reflects on individual drive and the small decisions that shape aspiration. I love how this short film managed to tell a compelling story and the soundtrack in this short film perfectly complemented the visuals and added so much depth to the story telling .beside the emotions and actions spokes louder than words and it was truly impactful.
