About this Short Film
Opportunity...? from the Asia-Pacific Development Centre on Disability asks what true opportunity looks like for a young adult after life changes. Made in Thailand in 2023, the short investigates themes of accident, mental health and employment related support, and the steps toward achievement and inclusion. It does not prescribe answers, but invites viewers to consider how societies, workplaces and support networks open or block chances for participation and wellbeing. Shown as part of the Focus on Ability festival, the film sits alongside works that highlight ability, resilience and advocacy. A thoughtful, quietly probing piece, it will prompt conversation about access, choices and the meaning of opportunity.
