About this Short Film
Against the Odds Jarrad Ingram Survived (Ian Luff, Motivation Australia, 2019) is part of the Focus on Ability festival. We are pleased to present this short which explores themes of accident, brain injury and advocacy. The film highlights motivation, achievement and the voices of young adults and groups with intellectual disability, including moments of public speaking and community support. It does not offer easy answers, but invites audiences to reflect on resilience, dignity and the practical work of advocacy. A compact and moving contribution to our programme, it sparks conversation about inclusion, agency and what success can look like after life changing events.
