The work explores themes such as cerebral palsy, congenital and intellectual disability, physical disability, wheelchair use, migration and education. Rather than prescribing a single message, it invites audiences to reflect on the determination and everyday realities of young adults within group and learning settings. Shot with care and respect, the film aligns with the festival's aim to highlight abilities, achievements and diverse experiences. A thoughtful, conversation-starting piece that complements the wider programme.

We know Ashraf and all his family - they have achieved so much since coming to Bendigo. All the best Ashraf - you are terrific.
Ashraf is one of the most delightful happy young man with a smile that lights up a room. He is doted on by his family including his lovely sisters.
From a hard and rocky place acorns grow and strong trees give shade and rest to those who follow. From my own travels I know Afghanistan to be a hard and rocky place BUT the people are resilient and never beaten down. In my little analogy Ashraf you are the acorn fallen a long way from the tree...from your homeland....an acorn you might have been but the video shows a strong tree growing and not fearful of taking on new challenge and experience....you will give shade and rest and inspiration to those who follow you. Be happy and live life to the full.
You are an absolute inspiration Ashraf
