Class B1 a Class for Inclusivity

About this Short Film

Class B1 a Class for Inclusivity, by Media for Education Development Research (Malawi, 2022), is a short film presented in the Focus on Ability International Short Film Festival. The film addresses themes of blindness, sensory disability, education and inclusion among young adults. Rather than telling a single narrative, it draws attention to group learning, access and the ways communities respond to diverse needs. Filmmakers invite audiences to reflect on practical and social barriers in educational settings and the possibilities for more inclusive practice. Calm, respectful and observant, this short complements the festival’s programme of films that highlight abilities, experiences and achievements of people with disability.
