About this Short Film
Natalie's Life with a Disability, created by students at Hamilton Girls' High School in New Zealand, presents a thoughtful short about disability in a school-aged context. The film addresses themes such as bullying, cerebral palsy, congenital disability, intellectual and physical disability, and the everyday challenges and strengths of teenagers. It offers a student-led perspective that complements the Focus on Ability International Short Film Festival's aim to highlight the abilities, experiences and achievements of people with disability. This screening invites audiences to reflect on inclusion, peer dynamics and the resilience of young people navigating school life. Made in 2022.
