There is a lot of equipment we need to use correctly when we go to the Campbell Town Mall for our recycling program.
Moving and loading cans and plastic bottles is our first job. It is important to be safe at all times. Camon and Step are carrying gear we need to take with us.
We all enjoy the drive to the mall. Everyone stays safe by wearing their seat belts correctly.
We arrive safely at the recycling centre. It is important to wear the rubber gloves from our bag; they protect us from germs.
After unloading the bus we use trolleys to carefully move the containers to the machines and start recycling our items. Sometimes the machine will reject an item and we need to put it aside.
We collect receipts so that we can claim a 10-cent refund for each item.
When all the cans and bottles have been put through we safely load our tubs back onto the bus and close the back of the bus. Time to go upstairs to level one for our well-earned lunch.
