Geography lesson

G’day to our viewer/voters for Thimpu!

Thimpu, is the capital and largest city of Bhutan It is situated in the western central part of Bhutan. The city became the capital of Bhutan in 1961 (Cheers Wikipedia!).

As usual the competition is providing us with a geography lesson with more than 100 countries represented amongst the past weeks viewers.

Where are the votes coming from?

49 US States – come on South Dakota!) with really strong support from California as always but also from the mid west.

South. London and Canada are big on support and its great to see not only the high standard of the African entries but also the support from so many different African nations.

The lead for ‘most online votes’ has changed twice in the past week and we still don’t have a runaway film.

Sadly 1 film has yet to raise a vote! My favourite films not doing so well, amongst a cluster with low votes, then a group of 10 or so in the middle and 5 that have very strong support.

Social media support seems vital for a strong showing.

The Australian films are arriving in greater numbers as we count down the last 2 weeks to competition close.
