Competition Prizes

Competition Prizes

What’s the total prize pool for this years FoA competition?

Some readers will think $70,000 – this was the total when we first advertised the program

Some may think $80,000 – we received a bunch more stuff including the ability to bring International winners here – we also printed a smaller run of promotional material (cost stopped us doing more).

A few later may have received the even smaller run we produced saying $90,000

In fact, this years prizes now well exceed $90,000!

The quality of the prizes is simply outstanding and, aside from the chance for overseas winners to join us in September for the finals, domestic entrants stand a chance of spending 10 weeks (yes, that’s weeks!) in Los Angeles attending TAFTA – check ’em out online: http://tafta.com.au/wp-content/blogs.dir/3/files/2013/09/LABrochure.pdf.

But the prizes aren’t the only attraction. Finalists and winners get an invitation to come to Sydney for the best night going – the Focusonability finals on September 4th – you get the full red carpet, see your film on the big screen, mingle with the celebs (more than a few perform with the celebrities!).

There may be better nights on offer but we dont know where.

44 days till international entries close and 75 days for domestic entries plenty of time for either so get filming and help us break down barriers for people with disability.
