About this Short Film
Creatability (Tauranga Boys College, New Zealand, 2018) is a short film included in the Focus on Ability International Short Film Festival. Set in a school context, it explores art and dance as ways young people express themselves and connect. The film features teenagers alongside peers with Down syndrome and other cognitive or intellectual disabilities, emphasising teamwork, creativity and shared moments of learning. Without relying on a single narrative, Creatability offers a warm, honest glimpse into how participants experiment with movement and visual art, and how a classroom can be a space for celebration and discovery. A thoughtful addition to our programme on ability and inclusion.
