Isaac Elliott is an AACTA-nominated and three-time Australian Directors Guild (ADG)–nominated film and television director. His work draws on his experience growing up in Alice Springs and living with a disability, bringing unique characters to life with empathy and dark humour.
After a motorcycle accident in 2007 left him paraplegic, Isaac turned to filmmaking. His graduation film A Static Wind won Best Tertiary Short Fiction at the 2016 ATOM Awards and made him a finalist in the 2017 Lexus Short Film Fellowship.
He produced and featured in the acclaimed documentary Finke: There and Back and directed the viral Burlesque Blokes. His ABC/ACTF TV special The Legend of Burnout Barry earned an ADG nomination.
In 2021, he co-created and directed episodes of MaveriX (ABC/Netflix), earning multiple award nominations.
Isaac continues to develop bold new work, including SHAFTED, a dark comedy about disability in the mining industry, and HARD AS PUCK, a documentary on Australia’s first Para Ice Hockey team.
